My Star Spangled Spiders are unique beaded spiders that are patriotic through and through. Beautiful to look at and not scary to hold they are sure to be a conversation piece at your 4th of July party, Memorial Day or any time of the year. Great as a housewarming gift as spiders are a symbol of good fortune. Hang them on your door, window, houseplant, anywhere you like. Each spider comes in a sturdy decorated box along with their poem and the Legend of the Christmas Spider - an old world story that has passed from generation to generation. The Legend of the Christmas Spider:

A long time ago in Germany, a mother was busily cleaning for Christmas. The spiders fled upstairs to the attic to escape the broom. When the house became quiet, the spiders slowly crept downstairs for a peek. Oh what a beautiful tree! In their excitement, they scurried up the trunk and out along each branch. They were filled with happiness as they climbed amongst the glittering lights and ornaments. But alas! By the time they were through, the tree was shrouded in their dusty gray webs.

When Santa came with the presents for the children he saw how happy the spiders were, but he knew how heartbroken the mother would be if she saw the tree covered with the dusty webs. So… he turned the webs to strands of silver and gold. The tree sparked and shimmered and was even more beautiful than before. That is why we have tinsel on our tree and every tree should have a Christmas Spider in its branches.
